Hello, i'm new here. My little cat (Marlowe) needs help. He is 2 months old and almost 2 weeks ago he had an accident. I found him behind the bed and but he couldn’t move. Apparently he was trying to jump up onto the bed and fell between it and the floor. My mum and I took him to the vet and we got X-rays taken and he said that he broke his hip due to the fall and that he needs a surgery, If we don’t take him to surgery, Marlowe won’t be able to walk or jump normally. It breaks my heart when I see him crawling and crying, he can’t eat well and he sleeps a lot and I’m afraid that he has gotten worse. We could pay the surgery, medication and treatments by ourselves but with our personal financial hardships is not easy at all. Hope you can help Marlowe. He’s the most loving kitten you can ever imagine, he changed my life and I hope you can help him, Marlowe hopes you can help him, every little donation is welcome. Marlowe and I hope to achieve our goal. At the moment my little cat is taking medicines, but rests and sleeps almost all day long.

You can donate here or here. The second link is a post I made a week ago and you can use it in case that the GoFundMe payment is not working properly for you. By the way, you don't have to have euros to donate, I've received australian dollars, so every currency and donation is welcome. You can share this with your friends and family :)

Thank you so much!

From the Mod Team Regarding Pleas for money:

Cats are a huge responsibility. Anyone who thinks otherwise, should not have one in their life. They are dependent on us for everything from providing a place to eat, to also providing vet care.

Anyone who has cats knows that they can and do get ill. Your best defense is to plan for that to happen before it does, and store monies away in preparation.

If you read about a plight of an animal on the internet and your heart is drawn to help, check out the story thoroughly. Google the vet's name or call Directory Assistance in the city and be sure this is a legitimate claim.

Do not blindly send money into a paypal account no matter how heart-wrenching the story. Instead reach out to the member and ask for the vet's name and phone number, and arrange to send the money there for the specific needs of the cat in question.

If that information cannot be provided- you have your answer. Report the post to a moderator so that it can be removed for not being on the level.

Note: this reminder is posted in all threads asking for donations and is not directed at any specific person.
