Hi, my kittens are reaching the 7-week mark today, and while two of them are really liking tuna and canned cat food, the other one just seems to sniff and swipe the ground at feeding time. He wouldn't eat canned food right off the bat like the others, so I gave hims tuna for starters. Now it seems that he usually doesn't want that either. Are there any suggestions on some easily digested food he's sure to like? I want to catch him up to his siblings ASAP. Thanks!

What brand are you using?

Most kittens prefer a pate wet food to anything with chunks or shreds. It's easier to eat. Try Fancy Feast classic, which is pate. Try the chicken flavor. Most cats love chicken.

You might try making it into a mush for this kitten by mixing in water or kitten formula. See if the kitten will eat it from your finger.

Also, be sure to leave dry kitten chow down at all times for them. The kitten should adapt soon.

Good luck!

We've been using friskie's pate the whole time with varying flavors. I've been mashing it up for them too--and I started the others out from finger. But this one shows no interest... I was thinking it was the smell he didn't like because he tries to bury sometimes.

He may prefer a different brand. He may also prefer a different flavor. He may just need more time to mature.

Does he eat kitten chow?

We've been leaving out dry kitten chow but I haven't noticed anyone eating it. I'll try giving him a variety of brands, do you think cottage cheese would be a good idea? I was thinking since its dairy like milk but solid-ish like canned food it would make a good start?

No cottage cheese. Cats are lactose intolerant. Dairy products cause diarrhea.
