Lucky's doing fairly good. Her bowel movements are runny and quite often. She is creating a huge amount of laundry. Last night we got her some puppy pads to lay in her cage. They have helped a lot. She probably lonely with no other cats around, also being  aged a lot. We hold her around the inside cats so she can get to know them. She only wants to get down. She does get to run around some in the kitchen and hallway , a place easier to clean than carpet.I guess  she is as happy as  possible under the circumstances.

Sorry I haven't updated until now but I was out of town at VA and just got back today. Lucky went to the vets Monday to get her stitch removed. Her bowel movements at that time was still very loose, and her rear area was very sore so they gave her a steroid shot. She can't have a litter box yet, so we've been using puppy pads in her cage and all around for her. She is still on A/D special food until her check up in about a week or so. No exact date yet. We keep checking with the vet. This morning her rectum was out about 1/2" and we gently pushed it back in the way the vet told us. Lucky and we are out of funds and need some for her puppy pads, food and check up . Today shes starting to have pasty poo. She's running around playing and having fun. She has a ball, small scratching center and various other toys. She seems happy.

My comment over a week ago was how important it is to get her poop normalized so her inflammation doesn't cause her rectum to pop back out again.

Eventually it might if this isn't controlled.

There is something being missed somewhere.

I think she should be put on ponazuril for a week regardless of coming up clean in her fecal. It has amazing results and will cure her from more parasites then just coccidia too.

My rescue couldn't imagine life without it.

I have just heard lucky lost her battle. The muscles and nerves were not working properly and in the end it was decided to let her go. RIP Lucky.....

I agree with catwoman707, it is terrible. That poor baby should have grew up and had a long life. It seems totally unfair. I have tears streaming down my face thinking of that poor beautiful and innocent baby.
May he rest in peace!
So so sad!!

I am so sorry to read this. I was hoping that with the surgery behind her she would be doing better. May she run free.

If you do come back on the site Lucky's caretaker, thank you for trying your very best and for giving her a home and love.
