My Charlie will get in bed with me and poke me, first my legs thin slowly work his way up finally getting to my face. He will poke my face thin nuzzle me. He has no teeth so he cant bite me lol. He also has no eyes so when he does nuzzle me its wet lol. once that happens I'm up.

This is Charlie setting on the steps by the bed....He didn't know I was awake and he was coming to wake me up :)
Oh. Poor baby.

My kitty has just started something new. If I'm not out of bed and opening the can for his breakfast, he gently tries to wake me up by nipping me on the nose with his teeth.

Not enough to hurt, just enough to say, "Hey I'm hungry, when are you getting my food down?" I finally took the hint and put his food in his dish, because it's a little hard to sleep with a cat nipping at your nose.

What little quirky things does your cat do?

I have two cats the oldest bk every morning between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. if I am still asleep she will come up to me and sit there with her paw placed very gently on my check and she starts doing this like meow howl and each one gets a little louder than the next till I get up and feed her I always tell her she is singing for her meal. My second cat dash he is a big beautiful mellow cat loves to just kickback and has the most loud beautiful
Purr and for the most part loves to be lazy. That is until I use the bathroom then he sits on the other side of the door meowing and purring and poking his paw under the door and he does this with only me. Almost like the child who never needs mom until she is using the restroom.

When it comes to waking me up for food, Bud doesn't do anything so subtle as biting my nose or pawing my face. Nope. He jumps off the bed, gets to higher ground, then dive bombs onto my stomach.

Have you ever been woken up that way? It's horrible. There's this reflex action that causes you to fold up like an accordion, sitting straight up in bed violently with the shock of having an animal kamikaze onto one if your body's most sensitive spots. Worse, there's nothing apologetic about it -- after successfully waking me up in the rudest way possible, he saunters over to his bowl and meows at me like, "Get up, human, and feed me! Do you think your incredibly pleasant dream about Emilia Clarke being your girlfriend is important at all when I'm hungry? No! Food in bowl, now!"

Sorry, I know I shouldn't laugh but I have had this experience so I feel kind of justified.   Mouse used to jump up on to a mantelpiece close to my bed and do an all 4 paws drop down on to my belly when he wanted me up for any reason...  Thankfully he learned not to do that after I'd had him about 3 months, but by then he was a good 9 lb so it was painful enough.  He's closer to 11 lb now I think, and sadly if I decide to sleep in past noon (I know, it's bad but we all work late shifts in my home)  he's taken to getting up out of the bed, sauntering out in to the hallway and taking a runnng leap on to my belly, or should I say bladder, from there....
I'm trying not to respond but it's hard work when I usually need to go to the bathroom even before the 11 lb kitty missile strikes.    Usually he's really good and quietly snoozes away at the end of the bed or on the pillow next to mine until I get up, but for some reason recently he's decided I shouldn't lay in bed so long.

As for other funny behaviours, there are too many to list but most are already dotted around the site.

You're right, M, you can't really ignore it! I mean, even if you wanted to, that reflex reaction is just ingrained in you to protect such a sensitive spot. The only thing you can do is physically take them out of the bedroom and close the door, but that means you have to get up, and you're gonna hear crying and pawing at the door for an extended amount of time.

Maybe there's an entrepreneurial opportunity here, stomach armor for cat caretakers. Maybe something spring-loaded that launches them back into the air? Haha.

Oh man, I am so happy Sinbad does not do this. He wakes me up by mewling steadily as he jumps onto the foot of the bed and slowly walks up the side of the bed to my face. I have no idea what he'd do if I was still asleep when he got to my head, he's so freaking loud I'm usually awake before he's taken 2 steps.

When I play Bubbles with my kitten Milly, she sits for an hour or more waiting at the spot(s) where the "disappeared bubbles" snuck away from her sight, thinking they might show up again for her to play with. The elusive prey!

Ha! Ha! Ha! At the idea of a stomach launcher for cats! I'd buy one!

As far as kitty quirks go, my RB cat Milo used to start pounding on my apartment door with both paws as soon as he heard me open the door to the foyer one floor down. The sound echoed up the stairwell into a loud booming - if I didn't race right up to see him, other doors would start opening. I couldn't even check the mail first.

As soon as I got in the door he would race off to his scratching post and go wild! Silly boy!

I've had Merlin about a year and I'm his 3rd owner and he has some pretty quirky and neurotic behavior.

I don't know how "funny" it is because it's actually sort of irritating.  My cat Merlin will get extremely aggressive if I lay on the couch in a certain way.  I have a sectional couch, and like to lay on it in one direction to watch TV.  When I lay on my couch in this direction he'll sit at the edge of it watching me.  It's typically only a matter of time before he gets his crazy, wide eyed cat look and starts attacking me (Pretty viciously).  If I lay on the couch the other direction he leaves me alone... but the little jerk will hop up on the section I like laying on and naps.  All I can come up with is in his mind that spot is HIS and he's not gonna take any crap from me laying it it.  In fact the little furball chased me out of my spot like 15 minutes ago and he's sleeping in it.

Another quirky thing he does will be to sit there in the middle of the night while I sleep and watch me.  I don't know what he's doing to wake me up, but when I open my eyes he's just sitting there right in front of my face watching me...  lol... It's actually kind of creepy... the joke with a friend of mine is he's sitting there thinking to himself "I could kill you anytime I want!"

He also pretty much refuses to drink out of his water bowl.  After having him a couple months I discovered he likes to drink out of my bathroom sink.  The angle doesn't let him lean into the water stream and just lap it like that.  So what he does is put his paw in the water stream and then lick the water rolling over his paw.  Since I want him to have a steady supply of water I've gotten into the habit of leaving a small stream coming out of the faucet 24/7.

He also has a fascination with water... Whenever I do dishes he jumps up on the counter and just watches the water.  Another "creepy" thing he does will be to watch me shower.  I'll be showering and look down and he'll be poking his head around the shower curtain and watch me and the water.  For some reason anytime I'm done showering and drying off he goes kind of nuts with wanting to be petted.   I'll meow and rub against me incessantly until I pet him.

I never thought about it until now... But I got a pretty creepy cat that is training me the way he likes things.

Sounds like you should change his name from Merlin to Sheldon ;)

Kuro has a tendency to jump onto his window and look outside, and watch everything and anything... even the sun! He'll stay there for HOURS on end until lunch or dinner time..

also I like to flip a laundry basket over, put his toys inside and Kuro "fishes" for his toys! it's quite funny.

Talk about cute and furry - posting this photo is not fair!
Kuro is so sweet I could watch him all day every day.
In fact I might just look at this photo for a long while and imagine he's 'holding paws' with me while he waits for you to set up his toys under that basket again.

Tempest loves fishing too! We cut little round holes in a box, and she'll happily play with my hubby for ages. He tosses a toy across the room so it lands in one of the holes, she goes fishing for it, and brings it to him so he can toss it again. Very adorable.

Ned gets the night crazies every single night. It's like he's late for an appointment or something.  He flies from one end of the house to another several times, stopping only to catch his breath or something, I don't know.  The others watch him zoom past, their fur blowing in the breeze.  It only lasts about 5 minutes but he does this faithfully every night.  I wonder why.  Thoughts?

Here he is.  Way back when he was my attic kitty.  Long story.

When I'm sleeping and Callie wants attention, she'll ever so gently, reach over and tap my on the face with her paw. Half the time I don't even feel it. If that doesn't work, she'll lick my hand, then eventually bite my hand. Gently, though.

BabyCat slaps me in the face for no reason. He also likes me using him as a pillow.

That's known as the mad half hour. I know it's not a half hour but there you
have it. My Gentle rip used to do it on the back of the sofas and end up on the
air conditioning and wack a plate I have on the wall. Always the same plate.
And my two, whisky and blighty, suddenly start chasing each other sounding like elephants.
