My Main Coon kitten is just under 20 weeks and weighs 2.7kg. I feed him the Iams kitten food which does agree with him but it says for up to 3kg it says feed him 75g a day, which does not seem to be enough. I know they eat allot more then your normal cat.

With kittens, feeding to appetite is most often recommended. Personally, I would also feed at least some wet food - it helps with hydration and gives a bigger portion size, as well as giving him different flavours of food. A food rotation (different flavours/brands) can be a good habit to get into too - that way, you're not in a mess if the food is discontinued or changed. It will also make it easier to switch him onto a prescription diet if it ever became necessary in the future (hopefully it won't, but it's worth being aware of when setting up lifelong eating habits ;) ).

It's also worth looking at taking extra measures to ensure good hydration - especially if you want to stick to an all dry diet. A cat's thirst drive isn't strong enough to compensate for the dryness of kibble without a little extra encouragement.
