What size shoes do you wear?  Do you have wide feet?  Narrow?  Does your height match your shoe size?

The size shoe I need really depends on the shoe.  I mentioned it in Winchester's Walking Shoes thread recently.  Before I had kids I wore a 9 1/2 or sometimes 10; with average width.  Shoe shopping was easy back then!  That's large for a woman; but still way easier than I have it now.  I always felt like I never grew into my feet!  Now I wear up to a size 11 and sometimes in a wide width!  That's so hard to find in stores!   In the past I've tried shoes on and ordered the size larger online.  But this weekend I went into a Famous Footware store; on a whim, to see what girls boots they had and if any were at a good price.  I didn't find anything for DD that I was willing to pay for; but I found the Sketchers Relaxed fit line!  They felt great!  And they had a nice selection of size 11s! That alone impresses me!
I didn't end up needing the wide width fit either.
I used to wear cute casual shoes, Clarks or boots; but so many didn't fit or hurt after having kids.  I don't even try wearing heels anymore!  I was dreading the end of sandal season because last winter I ended up wearing my New Balance's everywhere.  A friend of mine said she tried the Sketchers Relaxed fit and loved them; but they gave her a blister on her heel.  Hopefully I won't have that issue because finding something attractive that fits and feels good has become such a big deal to me!

I take an 8 1/2 normal or wide, depending on the shoe style; most often normal width in the type of shoes I prefer (flat, especially sneakers with thin soles). I think that's about the average shoe size for somebody who's 5'6".

I love Skechers h2 Go shoes - it's what I wear at the shelter, because they're very comfortable and can be completely washed and disinfected whenever needed. I always have to go down a full size with the Skechers, though.

It depends on the shoe for me also. My true size is between a 9 and 9 1/2 but I have a wide foot so I usually get a 9 1/2 or a 10. Especially in brands that tend to run small like Nikes.

7. normal width.

I used to be a 6 when I was younger. I guess it's true your feet spread as you get older.

Well, for years I wore an 8.5 wide. But recently while shopping for walking shoes, my feet were measured and I'm up to a 9.5 wide. Oy

I wish I wore ANY of those sizes I wear a 12M and it matches my height I'm 5'8". I've had this shoe size since I was 12 years old. Mooch be happy you're not a size 12 that's where it really gets hard to find shoes. I wear the size 11 sketchers but the ones with the open back (mules) because they don't come in size 12.

Mine are 8.5, normal width. Sometimes in my walking shoes I'll get a wide width just because they are more comfortable and allow for some swelling. I started out 30 years ago as a 7. it's true your feet keep growing, and I've heard your nose does too! OH NO!

I wear size 6 medium. Don't know if my height matches - I'm 5'6".

6.5 wide. My feet are actually pretty narrow according to the podiatrist but I need wide shoes to keep my toes from being cramped together.

I'm 5 ft 6 1/2 inches tall and wear typically a size 8 but I bought some New Balances lately and they are sorta tight[emoji]128552[/emoji]

I tried a pair of open back shoes that I already had and I wasn't happy with those either.  It might be the pace I walk at.  I'm ok in crocs in the garden; but those for some reason hurt my shins.  I didn't feel as steady in them; even though they had a good sole and a comfortable interior.
Maybe they were just the wrong shoe for turbo shopping in the grocery store!

That's really not a good thing in my family.
I don't mind my nose; I just think of my Grandfather's nose and think it just doesn't need to get any bigger!

I'm always a 7 & 1/2  average, to wide width. I have the Sketcher's Go walks, I bought them for work, & love them! So cushy with that yoga mat type of padding inside!  I will definitely be buying them again!

I bought the gray & pink ones, with the pink ribbon on them & some of the sale went to the pink ribbon foundation.

as others have mentioned, my shoe size depends on the type/brand of shoe. pretty much the only shoes i buy are flip flops, slippers, work boots, winter boots, and sneakers. i buy my flip flops and slippers in larger than needed size, so my heels don't slip off the backs of flip flops and i can wear thick socks with my slippers -- both size 11. i think my work boots are size 8 1/2 mens; my winter boots are probably the same size. my guess is that my sneakers are size 9 1/2 womens.

my feet are average width. and they seem to be proportionate to my height/size.

I wear size 10 and have narrow feet. But since I have bunions really bad I have to wear wide shoes. I will not have the surgery because they do not hurt as long as I wear the wide shoes.
