Hello.

My poor baby Cosmos is not having a good year. He isba house cat male 5yrs old and this year he has been to the vets 3 times totalling a bill of £1300.

This weekend he has again been showing signs that it has started to flair up again and i cannot afford to spend anymore money on vet bills.

I daily give him cystease and double the dosage if he is showing signs and when he is peeing dribbles in random places i give him zylkene to calm him down.

Is there anything else i can do as im affraid i cannot and will not spend anymore money on vet bills.

Do you know how to check if his bladder is emptying? If not it should be free to take your cat to the vet to just check to assure the bladder is empty. If it's empty you know the bladder is emptying. I keep a bottle of prazosin handy in case mine starts showing straining do you have a muscle relaxer like this one the vet can prescribe?

Hi,

Thanks for your advice. My cats bladder is emptying it just takes him a fair few trips to the litter tray.

I'll look into getting my hands on some muscle relaxer.

I would be worried about a bladder infection it should not be too expensive to have the vet test for this. I know how expensive this problem can get .....
