I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas for a kittens first birthday cake. I have found ideas for a cake for a dog but nothing for a cat's cake. We have decided to have a birthday party for him but don't really have any ideas. Any input you have would be appreciated.

Just give him a small can of wet food. Baking a cake for a cat isn't really advised if you are thinking of a conventional cake flour/sugar etc..

I was actually trying to figure out some sort of cake that would be okay for a cat. Something that will be okay for him.

I celebrate my cats birthdays! I make mine a special liver treat - boil a chicken liver in a small bit of water for about 30-45 minutes (covered), then mash down the liver with a fork, adding a little bit of water from the pan to keep it very moist. Don't add any seasonings.

I then give this to them on their own plate in their own room with me in attendance to ooo and ahhh them while they eat - without having to compete with any of the other cats. They really like this. OK, this is not a cake, but a special treat they get on their own for their big day.
