And this for 'sensitive stomach'???

Wondering if my cat has a sensitive stomach I don't understand why a this ;Blue Sensitive stomach' food  with these ingredients including vegetables and fruits would aid in digestion. It seems to me like all these added ingredients would not be needed for a cat.

I couldn't agree more! The fewer ingredients the better for sensitive stomachs, preferably in simple, grain-free wet foods without ingredients like potato, peas or carrageenan. That, at least, is what we've found seems to work well for our cats, one of whom most definitely has a sensitive stomach!

Yeah, that's Blue's 'hook,' the whole 'feed them like family.' Not that isn't a good food, in general. They want consumers to look at the label and say, 'oh! Apples, spinach, pomegranate...yay! This is so healthy!' All those fruits and veg are good for human kids, but cats don't need any of it in their diet. This definitely isn't what I'd think of for a sensitve stomach, either. The rosemary oil is a little troubling, too. Studies are now saying it can cause seizures and can interfere with the absorption of other nutrients. The probiotics listed at the end are great, though.

I was going to suggest their Wilderness line, but I double checked the ingredients and it's got all this stuff in it, too! I wonder if they changed the recipe? We used to feed it and I remember the Wilderness being very simple and straightforward ingredients. The Duck and Potato from their 'Basics' line is a little better, but still has a lot of stuff in it for something marked 'limited ingredients.' Ack!

Also, the Royal Canin Hypoallergenic line looks pretty good.

All are basically just the proteins and the vitamins and minerals needed for a healthy cat. Plus, there are some interesting flavors, like rabbit and duck. I may try out the Instinct Rabbit for my girls, I bet they'll like it.
