cisperide

My vet placed my cat on Cisperide and he has had horrible diarreah for days and goes 4x a day, I cut his dose in half and no change, I stopped it. He is only 5. Has anyone had bad side effects from this medicine. I just started him on Royal Canin fiber response.

What was the reason your vet placed your cat on this (I think you mean, Cisapride)? Was it for constipation? Cisapride is a powerful colon motility drug. Did you consult your vet before you cut the dose in half, and/or stopped it?
