if he is taking wet food, he doesnt need to drink much.  The same with taking kmr-milk.     Some extra drops is enough.

What exactly kmr do you use?  Can you by any chance get goat milk?  Raw is best, but bottled is OK too.

You forcefeed as long as you must...   Just be sure he doenst get anything in the lungs.

They shall have about 8ml kmr milk or equivalent on every oz =30g, a day.  A kitten of 300g = 10 oz, shall have 80 ml kmr or goat milk during the 24 hours...

I will write more in the evening.

Did he ever used bottle?  I mean, does he has difficulty to suckle, and must be forcefeed by syringe  OR eat himself?

Anyway, I suspect he must have more food, this way or another.  If he manages just small amount at a time, you must try to give him more often...

You can give him a little more energy by giving glucose sugar, blend a little with what he eats.

If you dont have glucose sugar proper,  so glucose syrup, white caro syrup, or even common honey, should help..

A good site for helping orphans is www.kitten-rescue.com   its one of our veteran forumist who made it.

Come back with reports, questions and updates...

Good luck!

Hi,thank you for your advice ,i decided to name them , oli is 300gm and bubba is 200gm , i have bottle fed them for the past 2 weeks but recently bubba  refused to suck milk from the bottle so i force fed him with honey and some sugar mix with their milkits tura kitten milk, today. Now i see bubba is taking a teaspoon of wet food at a time but i still continues to force feed bubba 1 mls hourly because everytime i do dehydration test his skin doesnt return as fast as oli"s.There's another thing 1) if they loses their fur will they gain back ? coz both of them have spot baldness vet say due to the bite marks but the fur keep dropping here n there i worry they will become bald.2)How many times should they poop each day cause there is no poop sighting since yesterday from both of them, I gave them each a cc of canola oil no effect iguess any better suggestion ? or does this means another trip to the vet ?I guess i am a natural at worrying

Wait, so they are about 4 weeks, and 200 and 300 grammes?  That sounds little, esp for the smaller one.

I tried to look for this Tura kitten milk.  Im not sure its a full good  kmr, kitten mothermilk replacement.   I do see its much better than any kitten treat milk, alike Whiskas kitten milk, but Im not entirely sure its a real kmr.

So, again, CAN you get hold of   goat milk?  Fresh or at least bottled or powdered?  Goat milk is good, both as emergency kmr, or supplement later on...

If you cant get goat milk, and give as extra,  you must try to increase the portions. with Tura / wet food.

Give also some extra water - it will help against the beginning dehydration, and also, will help against difficulties with pooing.   Hard stomach is in fact one pf the symptoms of some dehydration.

Perhaps a few drops between each feeding?

A good variation is if you can have pedialyte, bought or home made, as the water source..."two flies at one stroke".   If they ever would get diarrhea, a pedialyte is even more good.

Can you get some nice vitamine paste, alike Nutrical, or some equivalent?  There are several different brands, and I suspect they are more or less similiar. Pick that you can get, and is fairly cheap.

Also, a probiotic may be useful.  BeneBac is made especially for kittens, but there are others.  Not the highest priority here, I think, but I wanted to mention.

Re the constipation, as said, a little more water.  Proceed with the canola oil too, its not always its enough with just one dose.

Canola oil of decent quality (coldpressed is best) is a good nourishment by itself, so its just to give,  a couple times each day.

If more water and proceeding with canola doesnt help, come back, so we will come with further advices.

Re the fur.  The fur will grow back, no problem.  What is worrying me, its  perhaps not just them suckling on each other.  It may be symptoms on something else...  Too little nourishemnt?  Too little vitamines?

Deworming.  Had they been dewormed?  They are old enough now.  Some mild preparate with Pyrantel poamate is what you can use.  It takes round worms, and these are the most common.

This sounds a little peculiar.  Its almost impossible to get an kitten overweight.  Unless you are actively  fatting him up, alike the geese or pigs whom ARE supposed to be fat when its time.

But perhaps the vet though they were younger, and thus the weight sounded as verry good for that age.  While they are actually underweight, esp Bubba.

Re them refusing bottle after several weeks of succesful using the bottle..  It actually happens sometimes.  There may be seveal reasons.  One may be, they have the same bottle, but they are bigger now, sucks more strongly, and want a quicker flow...  So the hole is now too small for them...  It takes lotsa of work to such now... Or so they feel it... No wonder they get frustrated...   So, works some with the nipples, increase a little the hole in the nipple, experiment.

You may perhaps try with changing the modell of the nipple...

Also, wrapping the bottle in something, a towel, or even better some fleece...  So they have something to hold with their paws, and cooperate with the feeding, are not just  being fed, but can knead, hold and actively cooperate...

Hi ,I would like to thank you again for your reply, i will wrap the bottle for them , will kitten have fever ? Because oli's body is kinda hot if compared to bubba , and bubba love his wet food and he is really eating them messy though but i just thank god to see that bubba is eating well and theres sightings of poops yey... Do i still need to give em canola oil on and off ?is it ok to leave wet food around for them ? I am force feeding them with home made pedialyte as i am afraid they dont have enough water since they hardly touch the water i left for them

If they are eating wet food they may not drink water right now. They are getting moisture from the wet food. Many kittens do not drink from a bowl when small. You can add extra water to the wet food also. That should solve your concerns.

You can continue putting drops of oil in their food, and you may leave wet food down for them.

As long as they are eating the wet food well and growing they are fine. They do not need pedialyte.

Where do you live?

Please post a picture of the kittens! :)
