Welcome to TCS,

You mentioned your mom has had cats. Would you like to tell us about them? Maybe share pictures? Do you have any cats of your own?

Welcome again!

was a semiferal daughter of a farm momcat my parents got in the early 50's.  She sometimes hung out with us, other times she'd roam the neighborhood.

Or next cat

we got him as a kitten the day after the Apollo 11 moon mission returned to Earth, in July 1969.  He was a true housecat, friendly but not a lap cat.  He was a big cat.

My brother acquired Shamrock while we still had Cricket.

Cricket never did warm up to her, but she would tag along with him.  Shamrock would find Cricket napping, and curl up next to him, though I don't think Cricket ever curled up next to Shamrock.

Many years later we had no cats, and we went to the animal shelter to look at adult cats.  We didn't feel like raising more kittens.  We "interviewed" several candidate cats, and Cinnamon was the friendliest.

He was a purr machine and a lap fungus.
He even purred at the vet's...  We had him for about 8 years.

Wow! Those are quite the stories! It's so nice you are still keeping them alive by keeping their photos and postings about them here.  1950's! I find it amazing I'm looking at a kitty that lived then

And great job on \adopting a grown kitty. They're the ones that have the hardest time finding a home
