Belly gone but no kittens?

So we thought my cat was pregnant. Her stomach was really huge and wideset so I took her to the vet who confirmed two kittens. This week she should be giving birth. Yesterday she was still huge but this morning she is thin again. No sign of any kittens. But she's not acting weird at all. Still same ol lovey dovey and active. I thought maybe her stomach just dropped but when I feel her stomach it is loose and nothing is there. Could she have given birth to dead kittens and just not cared?

She would be spotting a bit, little bloody discharges here and there.

This will tell you if she has given birth.

Look at her privates and see what you see.

It's also possible they have dropped and moved to the birthing canal. When this happens the belly changes shape (can seem smaller) and the movement inside will subdue. If she isn't losing any blood and her privates still looks normal as it did before I suppose she is due very soon.

Yes, I think as Bianca. I hope that is so.

Otherwise, she could delivered, prob dead kittens, and hide them / ate them up. In such a case, its possibly you wouldnt notice much if you arent looking very close... Not the most common, but may happen.

Thanks everyone who replied. Sorry I'm just now updating lol. This was Saturday this happened, well Monday we found THREE kittens hidden under our dog house. She was kind of neglecting them. But we moved them inside and filled a bathtub we don't use with towels and she has shown more interest in them and is taking care of them

I never did see any blood or spotting from her though so I guess she cleaned up well.
