Little Autumn is five months old now. I understand that at that age she could still be teething. This morning she kept pawing at the one side of her mouth. Thinking something could be stuck I checked. There was some bleeding on the top back of her gums. I'm thinking a tooth may have been loose and that's why the pawing. I rubbed some pet oxyfresh gel on it to soothe it. It is a bit red there too. Is it normal for kittens to be red when teething? It could explain the bitiness. She is eating.

I never really noticed when my kitten was teething.  Bad pet mom, I know!  I just made sure to provide a lot of soft toys for him to chew on.  If she is teething, that could very well explain the redness and pawing, but keep an eye on her and get her to the vet if she continues pawing at her mouth or the redness worsens and she stops eating or doesn't eat as much.

I checked with the vet. The redness is normal as is the bleeding. I was told there usually isn't bleeding but sometimes is.
