Hi I was hoping someone here would be able to help me...

A cat at my barn had a litter of five kittens.  Unfortunately about three weeks after birth the dog got them and we thought they were all gone.  However about two weeks after that the momma cat cane out with two little survivors in tow.  Needless to say I am extremely protective of Eclipse and Gerald, the two little black fuzz balls have just burrowed their way into my life.  Anyway, Eclipse's one eye has been extremely gooky.  It has like sticky green globs of goo in it.  I cleaned them out multiple times but then the one day he couldn't get his eye open.  Gerald is more feral and harder to catch but his eyes seem clear and good.  I really don't have the cash for a trip to the vet for Eclipse, what should I do??

The kitten needs an antibiotic eye ointment applied 2-3 times daily for a week as soon as possible. Eye infections are dangerous if not treated. It is also contagious. He really should be seen by a vet, but terramycin can be ordered online without a prescription. In the meantime continue applying a warm damp cloth to the eye to clean it. It needs to be open so it can drain, otherwise the pus can build up behind the eye and cause blindness.

Do you have any plans to spay the mom cat now?
