I have an 8 year old female. Up until late this morning, she has been in excellent health. She has been straining to use the litterbox to urinate. Nothing is there or sometimes a wet spot the size of a drop. Also, she is beside herself. She is trying to urinate all over the house and that is not like her at all. She has always used the litterbox. After a couple hours of this behavior she went to sleep where she has been for about 4 hours now. What can I do for her?
Im having the same problem with my cat she is trying to go like crazy I'm going to vet tomorrow please pray for my Gladys

For the sake of your cat, I hope you got her to the vet in time.  The bladder will rupture if there is a complete urethral blockage.

Okay, please feed her canned food with extra water if she will eat it. If not, canned food by itself is fine. It helps to flush out any remaining irritants in the bladder and to keep it healthy.
