So it's been awhile since I been on this thread and I came back because I recently got a stray cat! Pics includeD. We currently have 2 cats right now Rocco my Boy and Eve the Girl! Both are 1 years old. Well I know have a gender and age unknown cat on my hands. I found them in my bushes and after 2 weeks of feeding it I got to catch it in my house! It's been living in my safer oomph with all the essentials and after 4 days it finally purrs and meows at me...genuinely happy. Well my boy rocco has been glued to that door and I tried my first meet and greet. He made high pitch humming noises and meows but after it hissing he started investigating the room the stray tho was making this groaning noise and if he got close it would hiso and groan he didn't seem to care then the stray took a swipe hissing at him but rocco never hissed or made any attack... am I introduching them wrong?? This is the stray.

If by chance it is a female can her not being spayed have affect towards her aggression? As time goes on in am certain it's female

She has trained to fight with my rocco under the door and I I don't mean play fighting, like she is full on hissing and claws out, I have covered the Door to prevent harm, also when she was on the cat tower aND then later rocco came over and smelled it he became really hyper kept wanting to playfully bite my hand and was making loud humming noises

What's in her smell that is making him do this?

Honestly, kyleebrown, it does take time, and who knows what your new cat has gone through?  There's a process of socialisation for her.

I'll move this over to Caring for Strays and Ferals as there are people there who can help you more with an unknown stray.

Cats really react strongly to new smells. I come home from visiting my friend, who owns dogs, and my cats go bonkers. Both your cats are smelling new smells and are presented with a new being in their presence.

I know it's hard, but patience is the key here. Introducing them slowly is the only way to go about this. In a few months' time, they may not be best friends but they will be able to do-exist.
