There are four kittens about 4 months old that hang out in the evening time in some bushes in front of a duplex down the street from me. I happened to come across them about a week ago and have started feeding them. Apparently, most of the block has known about these kittens for about almost two months. They just leave them alone. The owner of the duplex does not want to allow a trap in his yard. His reasoning is he not want to attract adult cats or other animals and he says the kittens will split up soon and leave. These kittens play in his yard in the night and catnap in the bushes and take off around 3 or 4 am when the sprinklers go off and don't come back until the sun sets. I have been feeding them around 10:00pm to avoid the owner/tenants. This duplex has four apartments and is surrounded by big apartment complexes. I don't no where else these kittens hide. I can't find them in the daytime. I have to place the food in the bushes and back away and if I leave the food on the pavement I have walk a building away for them to come out and eat. When I feed them in the bushes three have let me pet their heads briefly only while they eat. When their not eating they catnap while watching my every move. Since it is night I have to use a flashlight on my phone to see them and they hate the light. I only stay to feed them since it is nighttime and I am a female alone at night. Can I gain their trust enough to rescue them or should I let nature take place. I would be able to take in one or maybe two of them. I take a carrier with me every night just in case.

I'm so sorry no-one was around to help with this, but how good that they have been rescued!  Are you going to keep any?
