I just adopted 2 new 5 month old male kittens (brothers!) 2 weeks ago. At the shelter they were feeding them fancy feast canned regular adult kind. I went to pick up more and decided to get the kitten kind. It says on the can "made with real milk" but I thought milk was bad for cats??

Do they really need kitten wet food? One of the kittens won't even eat it but goes crazy for regular fancy feast.

I realize fancy feast is not the best food and I plan on changing it to something better soon but I was just curious about fancy feast kitten.

A 5 month old can eat regular "adult" food. Many adult foods are labeled as "for all lfie stages" anyways. You can rotate in some kitten specific food if you wanted to.

The milk in FF is only a small amount so it wont cause any digesteive issues. The milk may have been processed in a way to make it more digestible to kittens.

I use the kitten FF occasionally in my kitten's food rotation (he is 5 months too!).  I normally just get the turkey instead of the fish kind.  It seems to be a relatively good food compared to others.
