Hello,

I have a very handsome son he looks just like Garfield :)

He was diagnosed with Bladder incontinence a couple of months ago so the Vet switch his food to Hills C/D Urinary Care wet and dry food.

Luckily he hasnt experienced more "accidents" since he finished his pills. However, I noticed he has been throwing up often and not sure if its related to his new food (He didnt do it when he was on "Wellness " Dry Food). I started to give him my probiotics "Garden of life " 85 Billion Active Cultures 33 Strains. I only give him a third of the capsule since I thought it was too much for him but he keeps throwing up.

Not sure what else to do? I am not sure if I need to change his nutrition? Thoughts?

A mom in distress :-/

This is the best probiotic, IMO. Lots of people in this forum use it and rave about it.

Probiotics don't necessarily help vomiting, they help digestion. You might want to talk to your vet about it if he's vomiting new food. I'm not an fan of RX's foods, so i can't really give any suggestions. Is he vomiting just kibble? or just wet? If its just the kibble maybe consider feeding only the wet. I'd personally put my cat on a strict wet food only diet if he had urinary issues.

So when you say "bladder incontinence", did he just have a urinary tract infection (UTI), so he was urinating outside his box?  He didn't have stones or wasn't blocked or anything like that, was he?

Unless he was diagnosed with stones and partial blockage, I don't know why he would need to be on prescription food, and I DO think it's the food that's causing his vomiting. The ingredients are great for cats with stones, but otherwise, not so good.   And  Missmimz is right, the probiotics work more on the back end that the front

I'm guessing it's the corn in the food that's causing the issue, and unfortunately, it's in both the wet and dry versions

I don't know if this will be helpful, but maybe:  http://www.thecatsite.com/t/302201/...ing-up-a-kitten-cat-so-that-it-never-gets-uti
