Hi everyone, I have a kitten that is 4 months old and I'm looking for some good canned food options. Right now her diet consists primarily of Wellness Grain Free Chicken, NV Raw Chicken as a topper at dinner, the occasional BB Wilderness Kitten Grain Free Salmon, and a small amount of Orijen Dry while we are at work.

I'd like to find another good canned food to add to the rotation and came across Hound&Gatos. Would this product be suitable for a kitten? I'm having a hard time finding premium food specifically for kittens, so I'm hoping it's because it isn't necessary in these brands.

Thanks for your help!

If the label shows the food is appropriate for "all life stages" then it is OK for kittens. The label won't necessarily have "Kitten" on it.

A kitten specific food isn't necessary, IMO. You can feed a "regular" adult food and rotate it in with the other foods you are giving.

Hound & Gatos is fairly caloric, which would make it a good choice for a kitten. Our cats aren't thrilled with all H&G's recipes but do like their lamb a lot! It's very decent food.

Thanks everyone! I gave her the beef today and she ate it like it was her last meal. Hopefully this keeps up, she's been known to change her mind depending on the day ;)

Oh, that's great! H&G seems to be a love-it-or-hate-it food, so I'm glad she loves it! I wish our cats liked it better because it's good food.
