Maya is my only longhair and I think she's absolutely gorgeous. A Ragdoll breeder friend believes she has some in her, but because she's a rescue we don't know much about her background genetically. I have seen pictures of her mother, who looked like she could pass for a purebred Ragdoll.

Maya is beautiful she does look like she as some Ragdoll in her .

I love her bright eyes , does she have a bushy tail ?

Black and White longhairs are beautiful I have a soft spot for them.

It would be lovely to see some pictures of longhaired red tabbies and Tortoiseshells

Jack at a show (being judged in the Best of the Best ring). There is a cat under all that fluff!
WOW Jack is one hairy cat

He does illustrate though the contrast between a Longhaired show cat and my Ruby who looks positively bald in comparison

His colour interests me , what colour his he ?

And how long do you groom him per day ?

Ruby gets about 10 minutes every other day to keep her coat in good condition.

He is a shaded golden Persian. There are not to many of them around. The coat is golden to apricot with black tipping. I have added a not so great photo taken at home that shows the the black tipping on his back.

There is a blue version too - the blue shaded golden. They
have a honey to ivory colored undercoat with blue tipping. I actually don't groom him everyday - he gets a show bath once a week with a comb out before the bath. I check everyday by running my fingers through his coat for tangles. I deal with those if found. Because he is bathed weekly his coat is never really dirty - the major cause of mats. By the way, in that photo, taken at our specialty show, he was chosen the best premier (alter) in the show. That was the most coat he has ever had.

I thought when I was looking at Jack's picture I could see a golden shade to his coat , he reminds me of one of those golden lions you see in Chinese temples , even more so in the second picture.

That's an interesting tip to remember that it's dirty coats that cause mats.

Ruby as a very silky coat which is really easy to comb and brush through , but my late Merlin had a really oily coat which was prone to mat around his rear end I was always shaving tangles off him.

He was only bathed once in his 14 years and the experience nearly killed both him and me , but really from what your saying I should have maybe bathed him more.

My best friend as three Persian cats so I am around the breed quite a lot , all three of them are lovely natured cats.

My best Friends Persian cats.

Beautiful Himalayans!! My first pedigreed cats were Himis - love the blue eyes.
My friend used to breed Himalayans , these three Molly , Little Baby and Doodle are all related , Molly in the top picture I posted is the mother of the other two.

Little Baby lost  his eye to an infection when he was a kitten .

Kiwi, the Medium haired Mainecoon mix

Zazzie, also a Medium haired Mainecoon mix

And Tesla, The Norwegian Forest cat (semi long haired. He has his summer coat now, which is much shorter than his winter coat since Norwegian Forest cats shed A LOT in the spring)
