Hello im new to this site but iv googled and cant find answers for this i need to no. My cat has been going out since she was 6 months old i live on top of shops and have a 18ft balcony. She come into season and a stray cat heard her call and mated with her. Cat people come and caught the boy cat and rehomed him. But before he was caught he pushed my cat off the edge and she ending up fulling from a hight and hot caught in a bush and miscarried. I got her back and brought her home where she later lost 3 kittens. One in a sack. One with out a sack and the last one wiv placenter still wiv the kitten. I took her to the vet after all labor had happened i was told she was fine and had no broken bones from the fool. The kittens was about 5 weeks. She now has massive boobs. Nipples bright pink and still looking fatish. Iv read that sometimes cats can only loose some of litter. Any advice plz x

While the experts come in, I can tell you that cats may still look pregnant even after birth.

My momma cat gave birth to 4 beautiful babies and she still looked like she was holding in a couple more. That wasn't the case. It took her about a week or so to stop looking pregnant.

The best bet would be to have the vet examine her for kitties, maybe an x-ray to see if there are any still inside of her. If it proves to be too expensive, you can wait and see if she births any more. Her bright pink nipples are a sign she was / is close to delivery. Ask your vet how long you have to wait before being sure she has no more kittens in her.

If she has no more, she may become a little bit depressed from the loss and her milk will annoy her for a couple of week because of no relief. This is a great opportunity to get in touch with a local shelter or ask around if there are any orphan litters you can take and give to her as adoptees. The babies will be have a better chance of survival and momma will be happy to have milk relief.

Also, please think about spaying her so it doesn't happen again. Accidents happen, and she got pregnant. While we'd like to think that they need to have offspring, they don't.

Please let us know how everything turns out.

Oh, wonderful! How sweet :)

Please cancel the spay appointment for next week. Now that she's nursing she must be spayed in a few weeks, preferably when the baby is 8 weeks old.

The fall from the balcony sounds traumatic. Please do not let your cat on the balcony anymore (nor the kitten), and please do not allow her outside anymore either.

I'm glad at least one kitten survived.

Make a net on that balcony, so its kitten- and cat safe.  AFTER that, you can let her out again...

If she looks preg, they CAN have two different litters simultaneously.  Or some kitten survived the fall inside her...   If its important to know, a vet visit is wise, but wait with the spaying as said.

It will be exhausting for you, but worth the effort.  The kitten will need to be fed every hour around the clock.  It will take practice and patience on your part.  Did the vet give you instructions for feeding and care?

How much do the kitten weigh?  Weighting every 12 hours till she is stabilized (ie gaining nicely up) is  much helping.

What gears and what kmr do you have?
