My two foster kittens just developed runny diarrhea.  Could feeding them too much wet food cause this?  I've had them for 3 weeks and their stools were fine.  I increased the amount of wet food and they got this.  They eat Pro Plan Kitten Dry food free choice.  Thanks for info.  I'm going to try giving them some plain yogurt or pumpkin.

Yes. Kittens have very sensitive digestive systems and can develop tummy issues easily. My kittens developed some diarrhea from food too. I started giving them a probiotic every day in their wet food and now everything is totally normal.

Just gave them a dollop of plain yogurt.  Tonight late I'll mix some of it in with their evening wet food.  I hope that "firms" things up

Kittens generally need food changes to be slow and steady. Also, check whether they need worming, or treating for other parasites. These are often the cause of diarrhoea in kittens - especially if they're from a shelter.

They've been wormed, had their first vaccinations, etc.  This just flared up for a day or so but the plain yogurt and pumpkin have helped immensely.  :)

That's great :D I just mention those other things as a 'just in case' really. It's funny what can get forgotten in busy lives ;)
