I just recently got a pregnant cat her owners no longer wanted to take car of her. I don't know anything about her other then she a year and a half old and pregnant. Her previous owners thought she was going to have the kittens they day I picked her up(that was 5 days ago)because she was nesting. I can feel the kittens moving inside her and her nipples are pink and pointy and the hair around her nipples are gone. Her stomach also dropped about 3 days ago. Can anyone tell me if she's close to labor.

It sounds like she's close, but there is no way to pinpoint exactly when she will have them.  Here are a few articles that you'll find useful.

Bless you for caring and giving her a loving place to have her babies. Good luck with everything.

She sounds very close. Have you made a nest for her?

Since you'll be giving the kittens to family you will be able to let them stay with their mom longer so she can help teach them kitten manners. 12 weeks is ideal.

Yes I made her three she hasn't gone in them yet she likes to lay on the bathroom floor. Yes we make them all and just give one to my sister in law but will wait until they are a few months old

Oh, good! And she may choose to give birth in the bathroom. You can always move her and her kittens later :).

It's our extra bathroom so I'll let her stay there if she wants plus I have to small children so I hope she has her kittens in there

I have a couple questions my cat went into labor earlier today so far we have 6 but I can feel at least one more. She only has six nipples so will I need to bottle feed? And when is the earliest I can take them to the vet with being just born

It definatly sounds like she is close to labor. The nesting is a sure sign she is close. The other sign might be of you see her getting ultra clingy to you and trying to "talk" to you more than usual while leading you to her nesting area.
I hope everything goes well.

The kittens do not need to go to the vet until they are 8 weeks old unless they are sick.

With 7 kittens there will likely be a runt. You'll need to weigh each kitten daily to make sure they are gaining weight. You can mark them on the tail tip or under a forearm with different color sharpies to tell them apart. They need to gain 6-10 grams per day each, with the exception of the first day, when they may be getting strictly colostrum from mom.

You may need to supplement with kitten milk if any of them are not growing. Or, you can rotate them in two groups on and off mom's nipples every hour to two hours. The ones who are not nursing will need to be in a separate nest with a heating pad set on low or warm rice sock to stay warm, as kittens cannot regulate their own body temperature the first three weeks.

Do you have KMR and a small syringe on hand?

Keep us posted.
