My nursing young mommy loves the we're friskies filets food I give her... But I notice she always slops up the liquid first, and when I've given her the pate style she barely eats 75% of it.... If there like a gravy or something like that I can give her for a special treat? Or to make her wet food wetter?

Just add water to the pate food to make "gravy"
Add as much water as your cat likes. Some cats like soup, others only a few spoonfuls. To make the water a little tastier, soak a few pieces of freeze dried meat treat in water for a couple of minutes to soften and to flavor the water. Then add it all to the canned food.

I agree about just adding water as opposed to giving her more gravy.

Both my cats prefer pate over chunk style wet food and I am trying to stay away from food with gravy  and sauces  because they usually use high carbohydrate thickeners. I mix 1/2 a can of their pate with enough water to make it 'soupy'. Then I pour it over the remaining pate and gently 'chop' it in. They love it; they eat more; and they are getting more water which is so necessary for their health!

After doing a lot of reading and thinking, I am starting to wean my boys off dry food as well. There are just too many negatives regarding giving dry food in my opinion.

So funny! I totally did that with the pate last night! Not her fav, but She ate most of it. I have been adding water to her wet food, also "chopping" it more, but she still eats a lot of her dry food. I change her water every morning also. Her babies seem to be healthy, growing and gaining weight, I just want to make sure they are getting what they need. I've been told to feed the mom kitten food, but she doesn't care for it at ALL
