My new kitten was playing and acting normally the first few days he arrived.  Besides diarrhea and sneezing, and the fact he didn't want to jump up on anything, he seemed completely healthy.  By the 4th day he had a seizure in the afternoon, a full on violent seizure that lasted less than a minute.  Luckily he was scheduled for his first vet checkup that very afternoon.  He was not acting normally and would no longer play.  The vet wasn't sure what this might be but he didn't check out normally upon testing his eye coordination.  He would not track, and didn't flinch.  I noticed that several hours after a seizure he would track my finger, but not flinch.  Sometimes his pupils seem to be in spasm, or not responding.  The vet originally thought he might be blind but then he successfully navigated a maze.

From here he has averaged 1-4 seizures in a 24 hour period.  Since the first day of this he has been listless, non-responsive, doesn't play, ignores everyone, cleans himself only minimally, but otherwise eats and drinks normally.  The vet tried a course of antibiotics, no change, he is now trying a steroid treatment in case of inflammation around the brain.  They did blood panels, urinalysis and two fecal tests which besides a few bacteria in the feces, were totally normal.  Nothing to indicated any problems.  He looks very healthy besides the neurological stuff.  The only thing I have been able to find that matches his symptoms online would be this Brain Parasite (Cuterebra) in Cats http://www.petmd.com/cat/conditions/neurological/c_ct_feline_ischemic_encephalopathy?page=show

He was sneezing the first few days.  Then that stopped, and then he started having all these neurological symptoms.  No treatment is making any change so far.  I called the neurologist at the veterinary teaching school and they can't see him for a couple weeks.  I fear if it's this bot fly larvae, and we wait that long, it might be fatal.  Any advice?

I don't know what to tell you about the cause of the seizure, but the lethargy following a seizure is part of the whole process, at least in humans. Hope you can get him to a neurologist soon. Do you have your name on a waiting list to be called in case they have a cancellation before your appointment?

Everything ive read about epilepsy in cats says they act normally after the post seizure disorientation. He hasnt acted normally at all since last wednesday. Just lays around eats drinks and eliminates and has seizures. He is totally inactive and has gained weight quickly maybe because of this?? Also 4 months is too young for epilepsy and it seems odd that he was mostly normal one day and completely abnormal from the next day on.

Thanks for the well wishes. I have a call in to the neurologist hoping for a call back soon!

Also we have ruled out poisoning bc we have monitored him closely. No other signs of poisoning have shown up and being so inactive he isnt getting into anything.
