I've just received news today that the sore on my cats lip is Carcinoma and the enlarged lymph node was also cancerous...now decisions to make. DO I have a chest xray done to see if it has spread anywhere else? Salem just had the lip sore/tumor removed last Thurs. He's recovering nicely. I did not expect the news today. The previous biopsy done (before excision) came back as benign. We had his surgery done at MSCPA so I'm not questioning the findings...I guess I was just shocked to find out my kitty has cancer. I just need to sit back & think about what to do. I'm not sure of his prognosis since we don't know if it has spread, so I'm guessing I should probably go through w/the xray or ultrasound and go from there. Has anyone else here gone thru this and what was the outcome? Salem had diabetes earlier this year, which we believe was caused from a steroid injection, to help w/the lip sore but is now in remission and hasn't been on insulin since April. Any advice would be appreciated.. Thanks, Sheila
