Hello, my cat had a urinary blockage and is on Royal Canine and C/D medicated wet food. He does get sick of them though and just won't eat sometimes. I've heard of a Friskies that may be good for Urinary Tract or crystal prone cats. Can anyone enlighten me on that matter? Thank you :)

Not sure where you have heard that, from what I know Friskies is usually the cause of  UTI, as it is poor quality food with by-products, and most importantly added salt. Wet food is better than dry always, so if you must go with Friskies go with wet, but I would advise against choosing this brand.

Pick wet food with little to no grain, no added salt, no seafood. :)

Yes there is a Friskies for urinary health. Unfortunately none of my cats ever liked it. With urinary blockages and urinary health with my experience getting as much water and liquid into your cats diet is the key. I have multiple cats and just one with a prior blockage I switched all the cats' dry food to Purina UR but kept the regular Friskies as a treat. My kitty with the prior blockage has maybe 4tbs everyday of the Friskies and he's doing fine after a year.

Friskies stopped making their Urinary line, much to a lot of people's dismay

@ Schrody - Yes,  my cat is stricly on wet food - with the occasional kibble (Royal Canine) as a snack. I was just looking for an optional wet food to satisfy his taste buds. I had read somewhere that Frisky made one specifically for UTI. Apparently, they don't anymore. Will look for something with the ingredients you listed. Thank you for the info :)

@ Hexiesfriend: Because he is strictly on wet food, I have added the Pro Plan for Urinary Tract Health to his diet, on top of the C/D and Royal Canine. It is not medicated but the ingredients seem to fall in the right range. I hope that works :/

Oh I see I thought your baby was mostly on dry food sorry. Everyone is different on how they treat their kitties with this issue I've noticed. Mine is on mostly Purina ur dry and regular Friskies wet food as a treat and I added twice as many water bowls around the house and I cut out anything that has fish or seafood in it. This seems to be a good balance for my kitty and he's not gotten reblocked. I have tried the dry pro plan urinary health before and you know it smells exactly like the more expensive Purina UR. The stats are a little different but they are pretty close. Pro plan does also have a wet urinary health food. I just checked you can order that online.
