I have a problems with loose stools in my cat. She never has an accident but the only truly formed pio is from meat.?? Friskies dry should also do that I thought since its so complete. I rule out worms..a dog issue and so doesn't apply.!I worry and I don't. She eats well and never gets overweight but I'm as stumped as you. What type of litter do you use? I use Fresh Step. Could that be the cause? They don't eat their litter though. Commercial cat food is usually complete and if I had the money I'd buy her Name or the like. Maybe it's a phase? Annabel has had this for over a week.

If the diarrhea clears up on plain meat, then something about the food is bothering your cat. Just because a food is complete and balanced doesn't mean it won't cause diarrhea. It may be an ingredient, it may be she does fine on canned food, not kibble. Many in your situation buy a commercial raw food, like Primal, Nature's Variety, or Bravo Balanced Blends and that solves the problem. These are also balanced and complete, but less processed than other forms of food on the market.

Thanks LDG. What she likes isn't always what likes her. There are lots of vitamins in Friskies Surfing and Turfin. Lots of the basics and taurine. It balances her thyroid w/out medication. It's astounding. But thank you for your insight. I just saw an ingredient I have to look up. I'd rather not have to put her on thyroid medication but I also want her body healthy in other ways. The loose stools also happen with canned that has softer consistency.???
