Your main choices are the radiation (iodine therapy - check out radiocat.com), using methimazole pills daily or surgery. All have different costs & risks. You should look at your cat, figure out what would be the best course of action for your cat as an individual (you may want to consult with your vet on this) & then figure otu costs & payment plans. Different cats do well with different treatments.

my cat is getting this procedure done on tuesday it is $1400 and that is in Connecticut. i guess they do a whole bunch of tests as well, but this procedure is much more affordable than the pills, my mother researched it and figured we would be paying over $500 a year and figured out how long our cat will be alive the radioactive seemed better!
