I am new here so this is my.first posting. We took in a pregnant cat (didnt know she was at the time) and she has had her kits. They are 3 weeks old now. My problem is: until a couple weeks ago we had no ringworm at all. All my cats are indoor so they were free of it. When mama came in there were no signs of it on her either. She was here about a month before I saw a spot on my son. Then he got another spot. Then my other 2 kids got a couple spots. We have been to the doctor for the kids and he said use Lamisil (Terbinafine) on the kids. I just noticed yesterday that one of the kittens has a patch on his belly that just popped up. We handle them all the time and I didnt notice it sooner. Today the little female has a spot on her face. They are 3 weeks old. What can I use on them? I dont have the $ to take them to the vet right now or I would. Would this lamisil be ok for them? Please help!

Lamosil is a reasonable start with mild cases but otherwise you need a vet for dips and possibly oral meds.  If you don't get on top of this quickly you are going to have a awful case in the cats.

Young kids with ringworm are a problem because they can give it to the other kids at school.

If the kids have RW and are going to school you should probably inform the school, but regardless, you can cover the kid's welts with a bandaid and some lamosil.  Direct sun exposure to RW lesions can result in scaring.  For now, you could consider separating the kittens from the mom.
