Just updated to iOS 8...

And why why, why did they bother to switch the bookmark tabs? My bookmarks were on the right, easy to tap, choose, and slide my finger down to hit enter. Now, the 'I want to bookmark this page' button is in that spot and my bookmarks are all the way on the left. Sigh. I swear they change stuff around in these updates just to say 'Look, it's new! We changed stuff!'
I highly doubt Apple was getting tons of emails everyday from people requesting they switch the positions of the bookmark buttons.

I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually, but it is annoying. I just needed to vent that. I feel a little better now.

Edit: I forgot part of my gripe: And you now have to hit the book button again a second time after your bookmarked page loads. Otherwise, the bookmark list hangs out along the side of the screen. Arg! Maybe I can fix that one in settings somewhere.

I agree--I think sometimes they make changes just to make it look like they're doing something!  It can be very annoying.

Ugh. I have more to add to my list of iOS8 gripes. Spell check is not working properly. The red, squiggly line marking my many spelling errors is not appearing under words. I've tried different browsers but cannot find a work-around. :badpc:

I make a lot of typing errors on the tablet. Somehow, I put the letters m and b all over the place, in words where they don't belong. And sometimes n.The red line made it easy to quickly correct this and my other spelling mistakes. Sigh. I do proofread, but don't always catch everything. I'd like to apologize for any typos in my posts. It's embarrassing. Oh, yeah. Here's another ridiculous, stupid, annoying problem. Let's say I do my extraneous m thing and type Imlike. When I tap on that typo, the correction is incorrectly capitalised. Instead of 'I like' being offered as the correction, it gives 'I Like.' So, you have to retype it anyway. Arg!! I just did it in this paragraph. Intap was corrected to I Tap. Why did they even mess with the spell check? It worked just fine in iOS 7. :stomp:

The Copy function, highlighting single words, and moving the cursor to the end of whatever you are typing is all screwy, too. Really, Apple? :frusty: These are basic functions that should never, ever be glitched. Apple products used to be great because they were so intuitive. Sadly, it seems like with each os update this is becoming less true.

IOS 9 should be out any day. I usually wait a long time to do the updates (as evident by my updating to iOS8 only a couple weeks ago), but I may do this one right out of the gate, just to get rid of these annoying, stupid problems. But, I'm afraid to hop from the frying pan into the fire. What if 9 is even worse? The other thing that kills me is this is 8.4. They had 4 bug fixes to correct these issues. I cannot be the only person to email Apple about these problems. These issues should have never made it out of beta and Apple should be embarassed and ashamed.
