Got a new digital cam for xmas (well, I got it for my folks, but I have to use it a lot to make sure it works, yeah, that's it). Here's my rescued stray Snowball. Okay, she doesn't look like a snowball, but that's the name of the cat from the simpsons (and that cat's black!) so I couldn't resist.

Checking out the neighborhood:

Sitting pretty on the fence:

Showing her notched ear; when I TNR'd her I thought she was feral, but it turned out she'd already been spayed. They still had to notch her ear because she'd been vaccinated under the $10 feral program.

So much grass to munch on!

Is there anything cuter than a sleeping cat? Me thinks not.

Snowball is a pretty girl!
Everytime I look at Prego's notched ear I smile because I know that she is much healthier now.

Glad to share her with you fine folks! I'm not even sure how I got any good pics. I tried to get some pics of her in the sunlight for good lighting, and of course I had to squat down to get a good angle. Only problem is, any time I squat down she runs towards me and head bonks me. Also, she always turns her head away from me when I point the camera at her (shy I guess).

You get what you can, when you can
and a surprising number of them turn out to be quite acceptable -- a few, really good. Ask any professional photographer what his success rate is, and he'll tell you he's lucky to get one or maybe two decent shots on one roll of film -- so what's that? one or two in 36? The joy of the digital, of course, if that you can take anything that looks remotely possible, without worrying about wasting film, and of course with these wonderful photogenic subjects, even a not-so-hot photo can be a splendid pic!

And, buddy, you've done some good stuff...thanks for sharing.
