half moon window on my front door.

3-pane livingroom window

2-pane bedroom window

Small bathroom window in the shower

they may be few, but they are big windows! And in my kitchen I have glass sliding doors so it acts as a big window too!

3 and one sliding patio door.

My parents' house likely has the most of anyone here... 52 (!).

Well, that's something I never thought of before!

24 windows, 4 sliding glass doors, and 4 skylights.

We have 10. Didn't realize we had that many! Technically this is an apartment, but is in a historic house divided into two separate units, upstairs and downstairs. The tall ceilings are great, and our half includes the full-sized back yard and the huge cellar. One of the reasons we chose this place is because the window sills are very wide- perfect for cats. :D

I think we must take the last place prize. We only have one window + 1 patio door right now!  (job relocation, living in apartment while we house-hunt.)  Fortunately that is still enough for cats to watch the goings-on outdoors.

@LTS3   do they have enough cats to fill all those windows?

@happybird, I love the old places with "cat loungers" built in.

We have 10 windows (actually 12, but 3 form a large triple window) and 3 balcony doors. That's counting the cellar and attic windows.

28. This includes basement (one a half round - one boarded up for now),  slider out to back patio and attic.

Old houses usually have a lot, for light and cross ventilation.  Ours was built in 1925 (or 1915 depending on records, but I suspect 1925 is more accurate).  They were shot when I bought the house so I've replaced almost all of them.  Only a few remain in the basement.

Adding: The house is really small (about 1600 sf including basement) so that's a LOT of windows!

Amended again! I forgot about the door in our living room to the port cochere - it's mostly window; it's also boarded up because the door is historic and when we get around to fixing it, well again it will be a ton of money. And we never use that covered area anyway - it's long been useless as a car port, there's no access for a car.  Could have been for a horse and buggy for all we know

My parents aren't pet-people but they did let me get a cat while I was in high school. My cat loved lounging in the windows
It's a two famly house so the second floor apartment was off-limits to my cat except for the brief time when he was a kitten and one of the tenants adopted his sister. The two kittens would streak up and down the back stairs and into both livng spaces and the basement and the attic nearly every single night.

...with the cats...
i have 15 windows in my house, including the two sliding patio type doors that the screens are such that they don't open -- so they're really large windows.

edited to add:  one more window, a very small one in the basement. so 16 windows total here.

Thirteen, including a large bay window in the living room, French doors in the kitchen, double windows in the computer room, and regular room-size windows in the basement.
