I have 25 cats in my home and most of them have either feline leukemia or aids. One of my aids cats has a mega colon aswell. I read about one lady on this block with a cat suffering from constipation aswell. I were at my end with struggling with Mufasa with his mega colon. Almost pts him, then I read about Miralax. I got some and now his is a happy normal fat cat again. Just wanted to share with all struggling with cats with constipation.

Hi Wanda.

I am so glad for you and Mufasa to have this relief, and for all your kitties to have you as their caregiver.  What a kind person you are to care for them all -- and to care so much!

My four-month-old has had colorectal troubles since he was a neonate.  Sometimes there has seemed improvement, sometimes worsening.  He has been to Doctors I think eight times in his seventeen weeks.  With Lactulose since last week, we had just got him sorted out to defecating once daily with a little flow following a few hours later.  This week, though, his feeding and other routines have been disrupted in connection with his neuter surgery.  When he gets back to the same better defecation routine he had just prior to his surgery, I am going to try discontinuing the Lactulose.

I have been doing some reading on this site about others' successful management with Miralax.  I got some Miralax yesterday, so I am prepared to start my kitten on that if he needs something after discontinuing the Lactulose.

Hello,
You are to be commended. What a big heart you have! It's so gratifying to know people like you are out there caring for these poor creatures. You will be rewarded in Heaven some day for sure!
