help with new cat

We never had a cat before until one showed up under our deck and storm was close so we felt sorry for her and let her in to find she was preg.so now we had our kittens Mon am and she had four beautiful kittens and has been eating and drinking inking and feeding kittens without any red flags.tonight we decided it was time for clean being and new box so I transfered kittens and mom got in and fed as always.I went to kitchen couple hours later and looked in on babies and momto find one kitten passed away.we were surprised but thought is life and her first bunch maybe got set on.so Iremoved so we will bury in morning but got to looking and petting mom aassuring her it is OK only to find four squirming babies s I'll alive and well.is it unusual for them to go back into labor and have another kitten two days after first were born?I was sure she had had them all as tummy had gotten smaller again and was soft I didn't push on her hard but was sure she'd had them all but obviously she hadn't.?my concerns are what's chance of this happening ?And should I be afraid of her having an infection now? Is there his abnormal?I'm a little freaked as did not se this coming.she's been bleeding some but am.amts eating veraciously as always s ,using pan,and moving around as usual.she's caring for babies and herself as she's kinda prissy anyway hahaha any helpful suggestions.I will call vet but should I be watching for anything.her eyes are clear and bright thanks malisa

It isn't that uncommon for a kitten to arrive a few days later than the rest. If mom and babies all seem fine, there's nothing to worry about.

Hi my daughter came t visit new babies and found a few fleas on babies and very few on mom she had been treated until last month of pregnancy with servants flea and tick you put on there back.is it safe to use now she's had babies and what about babies besides the washing in mild dish soap.I don see how we can wash them without treating her first?help please help?want you little family safe but don't want a infestation and don't have alot of money to spend unable to wo k at this time ty for any suggestions

Advantage II is safe for nursing mom.  Put it on her and it should also kill the fleas on the kittens.
