I am wondering if my cat is allergic to chicken or something. He seems to scratch a lot more than my parents cats. He'll scratch himself like maybe 6 times a day where as the other cats only scratch like.. twice a day or something. How much scratching is too much? He maybe sneezes like 2 times a week and he doesn't have any rashes or anything so I feel like I might just be paranoid? He currently eats the chicken wellness core dry food and I wish I could switch him to the turkey one just to see if he stops itching but they don't sell it in Canada so I'm outa luck.

How often do your cats itch themselves? Is 6 times a day pretty normal or should I check into this more?

that's a hard one to answer, as it really depends on how much scratching he's doing during those 6 times, whether he's scratching in the same places each time, etc.

If it's the exact same place each time, and goes on for more than just a couple of strokes, then I would say it might be too much.  BUT, that doesn't necessarily mean it's the food.  It could be chicken, or it could be something else.  Could be dry air, which makes for dry skin.  Could be little bugs in his fur. (have you checked the area to see if there appears to be anything there?   Could be lots of things.  Are you adding any fish oils to his food...salmon oil or sardine oil or anything like that.  There are also conditioners you can put on their fur to help with dry skin...something like this:
