Clyde has been eating normally, but the other day his coat was getting ragged, and now it is nice and smooth again. His nose is warm to the touch and he has spent a lot of time sleeping. He is up and playing with "Little Bit", but what symptoms could he have if he just has a cold?

His litter box habits, water habits, food habits and play habits are normal, just the warm nose (usually his is cool to the touch).

Any help or ideas???

Thanks,

Mike, Clyde, and Little Bit (pics soon)

Cold symptoms for cats is the same as in us: sneezing, runny eyes and nose, not wanting to eat (can't smell the food) fever and lethargy. A warm nose is not usually an indication of something wrong. Some cats just have warmer noses than others.

The first symptom Cupid had when he got a cold was sneezing. Then he got a stuffy/runny nose and runny eyes. Then he wouldn't eat, and stopped playing as much.

I would think that like humans, it would start off small before it got to that point. He COULD be fighting something off. I never ever get sick, but sometimes I am tired and icky feeling and I know it's my body fighting something off.
