Covered in sores and scratching

I have a 2yr o!d domestic female cat. She has sores and scabs from her head to toes! She has had some in the past. But nothing like this!she can't walk 4steps without stopping to scratch. About 6 months ago she disappeared for 3-4 weeks. When she first came back. She was wide-eyed and spooked. She has settled down a little.

It sounds like it's either a bad case of fleas or scabies. Both are very unpleasant and can be passed to other animals and even people. You need to take your cat to a vet right away. I'd also recommend getting rid of her bedding as that could be full of fleas or mites. Your vet will tell you what you need to do to make sure your house doesn't become infested.

Please take her to the vet quickly, this will only get worse the longer you leave it.
