Hello all. we have a 6 -7 month old kitten and she was a very agile daredevil type of kitty. She went missing for two days and has come back completely sick and we are very afraid she is about to die. She is very lethargic and doesnt move much. She hasnt eaten in 3-4 days. She does drink water but very minimally and only when we give it to her. She has only peed once since she has been back and has not pooped. Her sides feel cold but her ears feel hot. She just lays on her pillow all day and all night. The only time she tries to show strength is when we open the door to go outside. She wants outside verybadly but will fall over and trip and can hardly stand up while trying to push her way out but she is determined. WEve been keeping her in because we dont want her to run off and die on us. WE have been feeding her cat milk through an eye dropper. Her third eyelid is showing and there is clear goopy stuff coming out but not building up. I have no idea what happened to her. She came home to us like this and doesnt seem to be getting better. Please anyone with any help or advice or anyclues as to what might of happened please, do not hesitate to respond. im crying as i type this because she seems to get worse every hour. thank you all for your time and any help you have.

Update: She doesnt seem to be in any pain anywhere. no cuts open wounds twisted bones (that i can tell) sore spots lumps nothing

Problems:

Third eyelid showing with CLEAR goop coming out

Sides are cold but ears are hot.

Very lethargic and limp

Only wants to get up if she thinks she can go outside (probably trying to go out to die)

Has not used the bathroom

Will not eat unless force fed through eye dropper

HEr ears stink like infection or something but only the inside of her ears stink nothing else.

She will drink water but not enough to keep her hydrated

When she does get up she stumbles and falls and will just stand and stare as if she completely forgot why she got up

if i think of, or notice anymore problems i will update.

Please the sooner the help the better. I am very afraid she is about to die

She will infact die without immediate help.

She needs antibiotics RIGHT NOW and fluids and syringed baby food/canned pate.

She is extremely sick and is not going to get better on her own, this is not a mild passing virus, she is in grave condition and needs urgent care immediately.

Get her to a vet now or you are seriously risking losing her.

I agree with taking her to the vet.

I know a lot of people tend to forums like this and ask because they are low on funds and believe me I can relate! If that is the case and the reason you have not yet taken her; a lot of humane societies (at least in the US) help with cost and/or provide care to a sick animal in immediate need for care and they do not require you to give the animal over.
