Hi everyone I finally figured out how to post! My son is two and he is so rough with Sunny. We always stop him we don't let him hurt her. The problem is that she seems to like it! Never scratches him doesn't meow and rarely tries to get away! Is something wrong with her? She is one year old.

Hi, and welcome to TCS :wavey:

It just sounds like you have an incredibly tolerant cat! It is really important to always supervise your son's interaction with Sunny, and to keep firmly correcting the way he handles her. There will come a day when he crosses the line, and the last thing you want is an injured son...or an injured cat. Either is possible. It might be a good idea to get him a toy cat so he can practice correct handling. Let him be involved in Sunny's care in other ways...he could help you put her food out, and maybe use the toy cat to learn how to brush a cat correctly. They're never too young to learn!

Welcome to TCS!

Your cat sounds fine to me and reminds me a little of my old rainbow cat Poppy. Poppy was a no nonsense kind of girl but tolerated being lugged around by my toddler or played with in ways that would have gotten an adult a warning bite and a view of a disappearing tail. We worried she would get hurt, as Columbine suggested, so we tried to supervise every interaction but our little daughter was pretty quick sometimes. It was amazing how Poppy seemed to know young children were treated differently. You do want to be very careful though.

Our kittens are pretty tolerant of our kids as well even though my husband and I have gotten a nip or two.  They do run off if they're not in the mood for shenanigans though.  Pepper, the brother, is better with it than Pickles, the sister.  Pickles is OK most of the time but is sooner to forget herself and play rough.  But so far it has all been in play.

Just keep an eye on them and keep reminding your child the proper way to play with the cat.  I feel like I have to say 100 times a day "stop chasing the cats" or "stop spitting at the cats".  My son has special needs and can get over-excited around them.  He really loves them though.
