Hey guys,

How much should I be feeding a 5 month old kitten. I usually give her half pouch at 8am, another half at 1pm again at 5pm and 8pm with dry down all day. Think that's too much and could this be the reason why she is so hyper ALL the time?

I would say feed as much as she wants, she is a growing baby.  I leave out dry all day long and feed wet morning and night.  The more wet the better though.  :)

Most kittens are hyper because they have so much energy

Your feeding schedule sounds fine. Kittens should be given as much food as they want. I agree wth Jade14 - feed more canned than dry. Limit the dry to maybe 1/2 cup or less daily. Increase the pouch food to a full pouch if needd to keep your kitten's tummy satisfied.

Are pouches the only wet food you feed? Canned foods are more economical especially the pate ones, IMO. It's more food for the money. Pouches are typically chunks/shreds/etc in gravy (and similar canned foods, too) and it's mostly gravy anyways with very little actual food.
