Kittens first holiday!

What are people's precious cats like going on cattery holiday?

My 5 month old kitten Dora is off to a cattery for a week on Monday. I am terrified she is going to be stressed and not eat and hate it and hurt herself or be too scared she may get ill.so many thoughts to think and worry about !

she's still very young and unless she's had some sort of previous trauma with cat boarding, should be absolutely fine. Its got to be better than leaving her alone right? If you feel really anxious about boarding her, there's the option of someone coming to your home to feed her and hang out. My mother in law has visited us several times so that we can leave our baby alone and she gets used to someone else coming in to feed and scoop etc. You could even ask someone in your neighbourhood you trust if you don't have willing friends or family.

make sure that you leave clear instructions for food litter and play, to match your routine, and maybe stock your fridge with whatever your friend likes so that they will be willing to do it again in the future. Unless your babysitter has a penchant for caviar it's likely this will be cheaper for you in the long run too.
