Hi.
I posted last week about a stray cat I found under my neighbors house. I brought the cat in and she ended up being pregnant. She is friendly but isn't into being touched much and lays in the window 24/7.
Well about 2 hours ago I accidentally fell asleep on my couch. I woke up to her (her name is pickles, named by our 3 year old lol..) sitting on top of my meowing which is very unusual for her to meow or be so close. Well I got up and pet her and she's been cuddling with me and LICKING me lol.. She's extremely affectionate and cries of I leave her side. Her stomach is going up and down fast from her breathing. I even made her chicken and she didn't want any... She usually goes crazy for it. Do you think this is a sign of labor?
Also she went to the vet last Thursday..so a week and a day ago..
Also she can't get comfortable and is going crazy trying to groom herself. I'm trying to upload a video of her breathing but not sure how to upload videos.
The vet said the kittens looked good and that she thinks there's 6. She said they look good and developed and just need to get into position and said it would be within the next 2 weeks but she couldn't be 100% sure.

Oh yes she made me rub her tummy all last night lol. She is now having contractions 4 minutes apart and moved away from me so I am giving her space but watching like a hawk lol. She is doing very well but I can tell she is in pain and very uncomfortable :(

The contractions are slowing down now....is that normal? She is calm and sleeping now. She's still have contractions but they aren't as intense as they were. She's barely slept the past 12 hours due to being so uncomfortable so I think she's just exhausted. I can feel the kittens moving around like crazy now

Yes, labor can start and stop. She's resting now for the next round.

First litters can take up to 2 days. However, you need to make sure her contractions aren't push contractions. If she is in active labor, stops, and no kitten has come, she will need a vet. If she starts with the push contractions, within an hour there should be a kitten. If there's not you can call your vet to ask how to proceed.

If they are just contractions to get them into place (the belly will go hard and soft every so often), you don't need to worry yet. But with the big obvious contractions (Her body will obviously contract, can't miss those) with just 4 minutes apart that are suddenly slowing down/stopping, it's time to worry.

Lots of luck to you, I hope she will get them soon. She surely sounds ready and is showing all the signs ^^

I fell asleep with her. We got 0 sleep last night. She's still sleeping. I couldn't see the contractions or anything, I could only feel her stomach getting hard so I assumed those were contractions. I could be wrong. i could tell they were uncomfortable for her but she didn't cry or anything

Yes good ^^ Those are pre-contractions. You might want to stay at home today/tomorrow ;)

Oh yes I canceled all my plans this weekend. She cries even when I have to get up for a second, so I couldn't imagine leaving her all alone.

No :( still the exact same as earlier. I called the vet and she said she seems fine and to let her rest and if she's still like this I can bring her in Monday morning. She said it sounds okay and not to worry unless there's lots of blood and no kitties or she starts pushing and nothing comes out.
But she's been hiding under my blankets on my bed all day. Won't eat. Does drink water and goes potty but I had to move them right next to the bed for her to use them.

Poor gal. My guess is she's in pre-labor and hurting. I hope something happens soon for you!

I put some old blankets on my bed. It's where she wants to be. She just lays here and looks so out of it :( I feel so bad. Her stomach still gets hard about every 3-4 min

Oh, she's definitely contracting. So she's in pain and miserable. You may have kittens by tomorrow though!

So everything sounds okay? She literately won't move and just lays there and nothing is progressing. I thought about calling another vet but my family has been using this vet for a long time with no problems so I'm not sure if I'm just over worried lol

It sounds like stage one labor to me with her stomach getting hard every 3-4 minutes. This stage can last 24 hours.

Is her vulva dilating, and is there any discharge?

Her water just broke! She pushed twice and a tiny bit of blood came out. She's licking like crazy right now
