At what age do cats have a better chance of surviving outdoors?

Cats that where feral, to feral perents, that were taken in at about a month old. What would be the best age fo them to survive outdoors? Less chance of getting run over by a car and such.

The folks who care for strays and ferals will be able to advise you on your query.  However, I'm wondering, are these cats getting used to being around people while they've been inside?  If so, can they be adopted out rather than put back outdoors?

They are just members whose names I've seen posting about caring for ferals.  Here are 2 I can think of:  @ShadowsRescue and @catwoman707

They may be able to add in others who could also advise you.   Good luck.

Since the cats have been living inside for awhile now, it would be difficult to set them outside and expect them to survive.  Have you contacted rescue groups, humane societies, vets, used social media?  Are the kittens socialized?

What happened to the feral parents?  Have they been spayed/neutered?  If not they will just continue to reproduce.  Have the kittens been to the vet yet and have they been spayed/neutered?  Please please do not put them outside without having them spayed/neutered first.

It pretty much depends on how tame they are now, and where they would be returning to for TNR.

If they are not tame enough to be adopted out, and the area where they were found is not suitable for kittens to survive easily, think about relocating them to a safer place once they are fixed.

Post on cl looking for 'safe, natural rodent control' type places, but they MUST be acclimated for a full month to their new place or their futures will be very uncertain.

At 4 weeks though, I would think these are fully tamed cats now?
