So, I'm sure many people here know who Howard Stern is.  Famous DJ, and current host of America's Got Talent.

His wife, Beth Ostrosky Stern, is a HUGE cat rescue person.  She's been fostering for many years and has taken in a lot of hardship cases including many adult cats.  Her adoption rate is through the roof, as would be expected based on her fame and, more so, the wonderful socialization and care she gives to her fosters.  Her and Howard have several kitties of their own; many of which are special need cats.

Several months ago, she rescued a kitten who was in very bad shape.  Some here might follower her Instagram, which has been keeping up with his care and transformation. I've been obsessed with this one cat, Buddy who was found in a yard in Florida with an extreme eye infection.  Subsequently he had to have both eyes removed, and went through a bout of severe illness.  But, with her and a great team of vets, he has shown great resilience and, has a personality to top all others.  He was recently, at 4 months, adopted into his forever family which turned out to be his vet and husband, along with their very personable dog - and seems to be doing fantastic.

Anyway, a lot of people have wondered what kind of cat he is, including myself.  He appears to be a Snowshoe but, as far as I'm aware there are very few breeders of SN's, let alone in the United States.  So, that just can't be right.  Others have mentioned Ragdoll or Birmen but his coat isn't quite long enough for Ragdoll (although he's pretty plush).  Birmen, that DOES look very similar. But again, I see no Birmen breeders in Florida although certainly there must be BYBs somewhere.

For the sake of fun, I'm wondering what the knowledgeable people here think he could be.  Most likely, he's domestic and since he was found would have to be considered a moggie.  But, look at him!  He is stunning!  And, his total blindness has NOT affected him at all it seems. It's hard to believe watching videos of him that he can not see.

BTW, Instagram doesn't allow you to copy photos so I had to do some super secret things to get this photo.  I can grab others if it helps figure him out.

I would say, a Birma look alike, even if the fur is somewhat short for a birman....      Beautiful and nice kitty...

Tx for adopting him!

Yep, the more I look at him, the more I think so too.

He had hundreds of people looking to adopt him.  Lucky boy. So happy to find out a vet has him now, as he may need special help as the years go by.
