Good morning!
 And Happy Friday!

Easy question this morning:  What's your favorite fast food joint?

For years I was a Burger King Whopper fan. Then they started the ridiculous commercial on TV with that King character....and it simply creeped me out. Can't tell you when the last time was I had anything from Burger King. And it's all because of that way-too-creepy commercial.

Now I don't really have a favorite fast food anything.

Steak & Shake. No heat lamps and they have a good menu.

Whoppers are good but I agree about the king. If there was a "who's creepier" contest between him and Ronald McDonald, I think he might win by a very narrow margin. I remember one commercial for their awful breakfasts where the person wakes up and he's standing over them wearing that creepy grin.

Currently, Smashburger. So good!  It's just barely more money than BK or McDonalds and way better quality.

I also really like Popeye's for their spicy chicken.

I love Popeye's. Their gravy for the mashed potatoes is the best and yes, the spicy chicken is awesome!! They are running a promo starting 8/31 with 2 pieces mixed or 3 chicken strips, 2 sides and a biscuit for $5

The biscuits are great also. I really prefer it to KFC.

It's a tossup between Subway and Chipotle, depends on what I am in the mood for.  I don't eat much fast food anymore but in the summer it tends to be Subway and in the winter it tends to be Chipotle.

That king is super creepy

I like Panera Bread, too, and Au Bon Pain which is pretty similar.

I forgot about Au Bon Pain.  When I worked closer to Boston, there were more around, not near me at the moment.  They had a delicious tomato-mozzarella-bacon on a baguette!

I like Wendy's best for fast food. Spicy chicken sandwich and ghost pepper fries, oh yeah! I love Panera but I don't really know if that counts as fast food. There must be a separate category for that type of restaurant, I'm sure.

But for the place I eat at most often, that would be Subway. Mostly because there's only Subway and Burger King in my town, and I feel like Subway is less likely to block my arteries :D.

my favorite would be this great pizza place that used to be several blocks down the street from me when i lived in the city of rochester. you could buy pizza by the slice, and if it was during a not so busy time of the day there, they'd heat the slice back up for you in one of the pizza ovens. i only treated myself to a slice of pizza when i was packing to move.

now, i don't live near any pizza places. so very rarely i'll treat myself to a burger from burger king's dollar menu -- my brother (who does the driving) prefers burger king. i agree though, the burger king King is very creepy.

I love Chik-Fil-A but hate, hate, hate their political views. Sigh. The chicken is just so dang good, I cannot help myself. Their milkshakes are outstanding, too, even better than McDonalds. The salads are wonderful as well. And I've never gotten anything, from any location, that tastes like it has been sitting for a while.

It sounds like the King should be added to the 'what are you afraid of' QOD from the other day! He is one creepy fellow. I remember that commercial with him standing over the bed, too. Yeesh. But I've really enjoyed their ones with the chickens. 'Comment allez-vous, let me holler at you, girl!' :lol3:

Hardees.  Or as my son calls it; Twinkle Twinkle.
They have great burgers; but I can't handle the grease coma afterward.  So they are a once a year treat.  I can skip the fries and everything; but I do enjoy their burgers!

Chick Fil A is the one we eat at most.  My kiddos love it and we enjoy it too.  Plus they have great sweet tea and will do things like bring your food to you when they see you are there with small children.  I've also had them ask if I needed the extras (like napkins, ketchup and utensils) that they keep up on a bar for you to get yourself.

Our mall used to have a salad place in it.  They were amazing!  But the mall is about 45 minutes away now; so it's not a place I go often.

That is another thing I like about Chik-Fil-A- the employees are always so friendly and helpful. We only go inside occasionally, usually my husband will run through the drive through. The stores are always nice and clean, too. They are a fast food anomaly!

I like Tim Horton's the best.

For everything else, it is a rare visit (Literally once a year, if that. Whether as a special treat, or something quick if I am travelling)  Swiss Chalet, A&W and McDonald's are usually the picks.  I haven't been in a KFC, Burger king, Wendy's etc in years, and never been to Taco Bell ever!

And I worked at Subway as a 16 year old, 10 years ago, and maybe had something to eat from there only three times since.

I am loving hearing about all these different restaurants!  I have never been to Chik Fil-A, Hardees, Swiss Chalet, Tim Horton's, Smashburger or Popeye's because they are not familiar where I live.  But they sound delicious!

The only fast food place I go to is Burger King because they have a veggie burger which is pretty good. There is nothing at McDonalds that I can eat. Even their fries have beef juice added for flavor.
