Friend just shared this tip, and I thought it may be of interest to folks on here.  Cat's name is Ed, nickname Edster.

"I administer his medicine with a syringe - this probably would work with an eyedropper, too!!!

I prep the syringe and set it down where I can get to it.

I then take the Edster and sit him next to me, on my left - I am right handed, but you can reverse sides if you need to? I get his rear on the seat and his front paws in my lap. I then wrap my left arm gently across his back and bring my hand up and under his chin.

I gently grab his fur under his chin and pull down. His reaction is to pull his head UP and that opens his mouth - at the same time I grab the syringe and am able to get the dose down his throat.

No fuss, no muss!!!

Before I figured this method out, It took two of us and it usually ended up with Ed gritting his teeth and most of the dose going all over the place - especially on his fur.

Now? I can dose him alone and it takes about a few minutes - Sometimes I prep a dose and leave it on a paper towel, so I am ready when he wakes up from his nap!!

I hope this helps!"
