A friend of mine found a cat, she is very friendly, between 1-2yrs old and has larger pink nipples. She's very thin so I'm thinking maybe she had babies somewhere. This friend looked all over for kittens and went to about 20 houses near where she was found. Vet said they won't give shots until they know if she's pregnant or not. This is the first night in my house and she's wandering around constantly and making noises but not like crying noises. I'm wondering if she's looking for her babies?? The vet said her uterus did feel larger than normal so she's either early pregnant or already had them. How sad if she had them and is separated from them. Does anyone know if she is looking for them how long this behavior goes on?

I'm no expert but if she had recently had kittens then she may be producing milk. I'd check by squeezing the nipple gently. Also the loss of hair around her nipples usually happens late pregnancy. I hope this helps.. Also she's a beautiful cat :)

If she is walking around trilling, she is probably looking for her babies. I could be wrong, but her nipples look nursed on to me.

You need to let her outside and play "newborn kitten sounds" on You Tube on your phone, then try to follow her. If you locate the kittens you need to bring them and mama back home. You may need to let her nurse first though. The kittens will be starving.

I'm guessing she came around looking for a meal. She herself sounds undernourished. I hope you are giving her wet food.

If she cannot find her kittens then they have likely been picked up by someone or picked off by a predator. But please allow her to look, and let us know the outcome!

I didn't find her near my house so I don't think that would help, a friend found her and searched the area and knocked on about 20 doors asking if they knew whos cat she was and said she jumped right in his truck. She was clean, no fleas. Vet thinks she wasn't outside for too long.

I also have 2 other cats that were getting along prior to last night and now they hiss at each other and act like they hate each other...is this normal? I hate that my furbabies arent getting along because I have a new one here. (the new one is in a secluded area for now though)

Please find out where you friend found her. It looks like she was nursing. If she has kittens they could starve to death without their mama.
You can always return on a later date, set traps and catch her and the babies. I would think if she were pregnant, her tummy would be round like the pregnant calico in the picture.

I agree 100% with the above. She was definitely nursing kittens.
